Texas Environmental Excellence Award, 2011 - WaterPR served as the event planner for the 2010 Texas Irrigation Expo, which was held in Mercedes, Texas. This educational outreach event was coordinated by the Harlingen Irrigation District (HID) as part of the state's Agricultural Water Conservation Demonstration Initiative, which is funded by a grant from the Texas Water Development Board. In 2011, HID was awarded the Texas Environmental Excellence Award in agriculture for their efforts in the ADI program, including the Expo. WateReuse Award, 2010 - WaterPR assisted NRS Consulting Engineers with the development of the "Texas Desal Project" logo and stakeholder educational event on South Padre Island in December 2009. The Texas Desal Project helped two Texas entities proactively address environmental impact concerns for their proposed seawater desalination facilities. Watermark Award, 2009 - WaterPR assisted NRS Consulting Engineers with the development of the Guidance Manual for Brackish Groundwater Desalination in Texas, which won a Watermark Award for communications from the Texas Section-American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation in 2009.
