NRS Consulting Engineers
WaterPR has provided strategic communications for NRS for several years, from writing and producing a stakeholder newsletter six times per year to serving as a legislative liaison for the firm. The firm is an aggressive and successful implementer of new technologies in the water supply industry, most definitively marked by the design and build of two Texas seawater desalination pilots on the Texas Gulf Coast.
NRS celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2008, and WaterPR helped the company mark its history of innovative projects and solid performance with the launch of a series of new identity components to be used in internal and external outreach. When NRS became a part of the Befesa family of companies in 2009, WaterPR again assisted with updating the comapany's visual identity with new letterhead, promotional materials, and a modern new exhibit for trade shows. The exhibit is designed to work independently as a 10' display, or it can connect with sister company Befesa WaterBuild's display to create an impressive 20' display.
In addition, for several years now WaterPR has written and produced the Texas Water News, an information service of NRS Consulting Engineers to help promote awareness of and dialogue on important issues impacting water quality and quantity in the Lone Star State. TWN subscriptions are free, and are available via regular mail and e-mail. The newsletter provides important updates about regulatory agencies, innovative projects, upcoming water-related events, and much more. WaterPR also writes and distrubites NRS' internal company newsletter, the Perspective Point. This e-newsletter is a source of company information and announcements for employees in all NRS offices across the state.
WaterPR also provides valuable copyediting, design, and production assistance for a variety of reports and business proposals. Our efforts contributed to NRS' Guidance Manual for Brackish Groundwater Desalination in Texas winning a Watermark Award for communications in 2009 from the Texas Section of the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Association of Texas. WaterPR produced the Desal Demo website based on the manual, as well as the company's main website and other sites featured at NRS' www.desal.org.
