NRS Consulting Engineers
WaterPR has provided strategic communications for NRS for several years, from writing and producing a stakeholder newsletter six times per year to serving as a legislative liaison for the firm. The firm is an aggressive and successful implementer of new technologies in the water supply industry, most definitively marked by the design and build of Texas’s first-ever seawater desalination pilot on the Texas Gulf Coast.
As NRS approaches its 20th anniversary in 2008, WaterPR is helping the company mark its history of innovative projects and solid performance with the launch of a series of new identity components to be used in internal and external outreach.
Jumping off from such earlier motifs as the “Not Your Average Engineer” tagline and a polka-dot pocket protector graphic, the new graphic centerpiece — Next Radical Step — builds on this reputation and emphasizes the firm’s desalination expertise. (The far right image is a membrane cap, an essential component in membrane technology.) The text elements repeat the style of the company’s logo to firmly connect the imagery and concepts to the NRS logo.
The Next Radical Step graphic is used in advertising, tradeshow displays, notecards, and other vendor- and client-facing collateral such as presentations.
In addition, we’ve developed an alternate tagline for the logo: “engineering water solutions” will be used as appropriate along with “engineering better communities.” An anniversary “bug” used on correspondence and in advertising further highlights this milestone anniversary.
